Sabine Peuckert

Sabine Peuckert, born in Ellichleben, Thuringia in the GDR in 1951, first studied agriculture between 1965 and 1975, before moving to Berlin in 1973, where she took up drawing. She initially studied with Wolfgang Leber in the Werkstudio Grafik, a small workshop for graphic design in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg, and from 1977 to 1982 at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weissensee (Berlin Weissensee Art School). From 1983 onwards she has been working as a freelancer in Berlin, has held a teaching position at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (University of Applied Sciences), Berlin between 2002 and 2004, and has won various artist-in-residence scholarships. She works with photographs, paintings, collages and drawings.
